Judy McFadden

dietnomore@bigpond.com

Judy McFadden has worked as a teacher and counsellor in NSW schools, always interested in helping people find effective ways of getting their lives in balance.

She had already reached some understanding of internal control before she attended her first course with Glasser in 1980, and found Control Theory such an accurate explanation of behaviour that she became the founding President of the Australian Institute for Reality Therapy.

In 1997 she joined the fledgling International Association for Applied Control Theory, and is now a senior faculty member, as well as accepting the role of Chairperson for AACTA, the Australian Branch of IAACT.

She is the author of four books on effective behaviour: one for parents, "The Simple Way to Raise a Good Kid", two for teachers, "Junior Lifescience and Senior Lifescience" and one for yo-yo dieters, "Diet No More!" The Lifescience books are now out of print.

Judy has been teaching Control Theory and its applications throughout Australia and internationally since 1991, and by constantly thinking about what she can control and what she can't, at many levels, has found ways to achieve balance even when life is not going as planned!

Agnes Barna

agib@triode.net.au

"Boldly Live as You've never Lived Before" Life Lessons from Star Trek (and Control Theory) is how Agnes embraces the present and future, both personally and professionally. The internal journey has been and still is the most challenging and interesting one. When she first attended an introductory workshop on Control Theory she knew right away that this is where the action is, enrolled in the very next Basic Intensive and went through to Certification faster than a speeding bullet.

Now a Practicum Supervisor Agnes is committed to the concept of Internal Control as the prime agent for change. "The light bulb has to want to change". A teacher for 19 years, both in the classroom and as a behaviour specialist, Agnes has worked extensively with schools and individuals to help them deal positively with life's challenges. She has presented to both national and international audiences on behaviour management, whether it be related to public or private lives.
